- A U.S. federal judge rejected Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) please on Monday and said the iPhone maker must face an antitrust lawsuit that alleges it dominates the smartphone market, Reuters reported.
- U.S. District Judge Julien Neals of Newark, N.J., denied the motion to dismiss the case. The lawsuit alleges Apple restricted third-party app and device developers in an effort to keep users from switching to other phones, the news outlet added.
- The lawsuit was filed in March 2024 and notes that Apple has made it difficult for third-party devices to compete with its own.
- Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
