Apple might release new ‘HomeAccessory’ product as soon as 2025: report

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is allegedly developing a new product, which combines the abilities of an iPad, Apple TV and HomePod into one device, according to a report today by 9to5Mac.
Possibly called “HomeAccessory” when it is released, it is currently being developed under the codename J490, according to the report. The device will be powered by the A18 chip to support Apple Intelligence.
The device features a square screen, as opposed to the rectangular screen of an iPad, 9to5Mac wrote, citing sources familiar with the development. It also has a built-in camera, can run apps and also function as an AirPlay receiver. Apple is possibly eyeing a release date of spring 2025.
