Apple said to discuss joining OpenAI funding round: report

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has held discussions about investing in a new funding round for OpenAI, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The new funding round, which could value the generative artificial intelligence startup at $100B, is also said to include Thrive Capital and Microsoft (MSFT), the news outlet added.
Microsoft has previously invested in OpenAI, while Apple signed a deal with OpenAI to include its technology in its Siri voice assistant.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
