Apple (AAPL) teased that it has “big plans” for its Fitness+ subscription in 2026 in an Instagram post.
“Word on the street is that Apple Fitness+ has big plans for 2026… stay tuned!” the company wrote on its page. It’s unclear what Apple may be teasing for the service, but previous reports have indicated that an upgraded Health service could be forthcoming in the new year.
Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
Apple does not break out the number of subscribers that each of its services have, but Apple Fitness+ was believed to have around 100M users at the end of 2024, according to various media reports. Earlier this month, the company announced it would be expanding Fitness+ into 28 new markets, including Hong Kong, India, Japan, and more.
Introduced in 2020, Apple Fitness+ is part of Apple’s ever important Services unit, which generated $28.75B in revenue in its most recent quarter.
