Apple TV+ subscription price raised to $13 in the U.S.

  • Streaming service Apple TV+ (NASDAQ:AAPL) is raising its prices by 30% in the U.S., according to a report by Variety on Thursday.
  • The report said the service will cost $12.99 per month for U.S. customers, up $3 from $9.99.
  • The prices are being hiked in the U.S. and select international markets, effective starting Aug. 21 for new customers, the report said.
  • Apple justified the price hike by noting that it has launched a slew of TV shows and movies and that its service doesn’t include any ads, the report said.
  • Existing Apple TV+ subscribers will see the higher prices within 30 days of their next renewal date.
