Boeing factory workers reject contract, continuing six-week strike

Boeing (NYSE:BA) factory workers voted late Wednesday to reject the company’s contract offer that would have ended a six-week strike.

The vote was 64% in opposition to the deal, which had offered a 35% wage hike over four years.

“After 10 years of sacrifices, we still have ground to make up, and we’re hopeful to do so by resuming negotiations promptly,” the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said in a statement after the votes were tallied.

Without a deal, Boeing’s (BA) factories that build the 737, 767 and 777 jets will remain idled.

The vote came on the same day Boeing (BA) reported a $6.2B Q3 loss and warned it would remain cash flow negative in 2025 after burning through more than $10B in the first nine months of 2024.
