Brazil’s antitrust regulator, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, has opened an investigation into Microsoft (MSFT) related to the tech giant’s software and cloud computing services, according to Valor Econômico.
CADE plans to examine alleged anti-competitive practices concerning Microsoft’s software licensing in competing cloud service providers, the report said. CADE is an independent agency that reports to Brazil’s Ministry of Justice.
