Monday – June 10
- Volatility watch – Options trading volume has moved much higher on Nvidia (NVDA) ahead of shares trading at their split-adjusted price on Monday. The most overbought stocks per their 14-day relative strength index include MicroAlgo (MLGO), Brinker (EAT), KNOT Offshore (KNOP). The most oversold stocks per their 14-day Relative Strength Index include MongoDB (MDB), Dlocal (DLO), and Nerdy (NRDY). Short interest is still sky-high on SunPower (SPWR) and Children’s Place (PLCE) heading into next week’s action.
- Healthcare watch – The FDA action dates will arrive for Genfit’s (GNFT) elafibranor, Amgen’s (AMGN) tarlatamab for small cell lung cancer, and Bristol Myers Squibb’s (BMY) repotrectinib in the treatment of adult and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older with NTRK-positive, locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
- Earnings watch – Notable companies due to report include Yext (YEXT), Calavo Growers (CVGW), and Fuelcell Energy (FCEL).
- All day – Apple’s (AAPL) WWDC Conference will dominate attention in the tech sector. Analysts expect generative AI will be the key focus for the event, and think a potential announcement of a collaboration with OpenAI could give investors a clearer idea of the overarching AI strategy from the Cupertino giant.
- All day – Amazon (AMZN) will hold its three-day AWS re:Inforce conference. The event is expected to cover areas such as data protection, threat detection and incident response, network and infrastructure security, generative AI, governance, risk and compliance, and application security.
- All day – Notable investor event includes Pegasystems’ (PEGA) Investor Meeting. Western Digital Corp. (WDC) will be hosting a webcast on the “New Era of NAND.” The management team will share Western Digital’s view of the new dynamics in the NAND market and the company’s commitment to innovation in NAND technology.
Tuesday – June 11
- Earnings watch – Notable companies due to report include Oracle (ORCL), Casey’s General Stores (CASY), GameStop (GME), Zeekr (ZK), and Rubrik (RBRK).
- All day – Amphenol (APH) will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis following the 2-for-1 stock split.
- All day – Texas Roadhouse (TXRH), Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD), Yum! Brands (YUM), Chipotle (CMG), and Celsius Holdings (CELH) are some of the key companies that will hold fireside chats throughout the day at the Evercore ISI Consumer & Retail Conference.
- All day – Notable investor events include Qorvo’s (QRVO) Investor Day, NextEra Energy’s (NEE) Investor Day and Okta’s (OKTA) Nasdaq Investor Conference.
- All day – OPEC will publish its Monthly Oil Market Report.
Wednesday – June 12
- Earnings watch – Notable companies due to report include Broadcom (AVGO), Dave & Buster’s Entertainment (PLAY), and Oxford Industries (OXM). Options trading implies double-digit share price swings for Affimed (AFMD) after it reports.
- All day – Notable investor events include annual meetings for Target (TGT), Caterpillar (CAT), and Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS).
- All day – H&R Block (HRB), Best Buy (BBY), and Domino’s Pizza (DPZ) are some of the notable companies that will participate at the three-day Oppenheimer Consumer Growth and E-Commerce Conference.
- All day – Merck (MRK), Eli Lilly (LLY), Gilead Sciences (GILD), Biogen (BIIB), and Pfizer (PFE) are some of the notable companies due to present at the Goldman Sachs Global Healthcare Conference. AbbVie’s (ABBV) presentation will also be closely watched, with investors concerned about potential antitrust issues with the planned takeover of Cerevel Therapeutics (CERE).
- All day – The May Consumer Price Index report will be released. Economists forecast core inflation will be up 0.3% month-over-month and 3.5% year-over-year.
- All day – American Express (AXP) CFO Christophe Le Caillec will participate in a fireside chat at the Morgan Stanley US Financials, Payments & Commercial Real Estate Conference.
- All day – Birkenstock (BIRK), Walmart (WMT), and Amer Sports (AS) are some of the key companies that will hold fireside chats throughout the day at the Evercore ISI Consumer & Retail Conference.
- All day – IEA will publish its monthly Oil Market Report.
- 2:00 p.m. The Federal Reserve will issue its interest rate policy statement. The dot plot of interest rate expectations could be the highlight.
- 2:30 p.m. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will hold a press conference.
Thursday – June 13
- Earnings watch – Notable companies due to report include Signet Jewelers (SIG), Adobe (ADBE), and RH (RH).
- All day – Notable investor events include Stellantis’ (STLA) Investor Day, Harmonic’s (HLIT) Analyst Day, and Ryder System’s (R) Investor Day.
- All day – Tesla (TSLA) will hold its highly anticipated annual meeting. Shareholders will vote on twelve proposals, including whether to approve Elon Musk’s 2018 $56 billion compensation package.
- All day – Mondelez International (MDLZ), Costco (COST), and Restaurant Brands International (QSR) are some of the key companies that will hold fireside chats throughout the day at the Evercore ISI Consumer & Retail Conference.
- 8:30 a.m. The May Producer Price Index report will be released.
- 12:00 p.m. New York Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams to moderate a discussion before the Economic Club of New York. Fed’s Williams (voter) interviews Treasury Secretary Yellen.
Friday – June 14
- All day – Walmart (WMT) will host its traditional Friday Associates Celebration at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
- All day – Shareholders with Vista Outdoor (VSTO) will vote on the proposed sale of the company’s The Kinetic Group business to Czechoslovak Group a.s.
- 10:00 a.m. The preliminary University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment report will be released.
- 2:00 p.m. Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Austan Goolsbee will participate in a fireside chat before the Iowa Farm Bureau Economic Summit.
