Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest weekly recap: buys BABA, BIDU; sheds PLTR, SHOP and SOFI

Cathie Wood’s ARK ETFs have made several significant trades during the last week, adjusting their portfolios across various sectors.

Top stocks bought:

Ark Funds continues to build a position in Alibaba (BABA), with a total of more than 75K shares bought. Her flagship ARK Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKK) bought 49,264 shares, while the balance was bought under other funds.

ARK invested heavily in Baidu (BIDU), purchasing a total of 111,281 shares across three of its funds, amounting to $13.34M. The investment in the Chinese tech giant was the largest dollar-value trade on October 15, 2025.

Ark Invest purchased 236,289 shares of DraftKings (DKNG) worth $7.93 million on 13th October, 2025. The investment came as DKNG shares fell about 28% over the past month, with Cathie Wood seizing the opportunity to buy the dip in the sports betting company.

Ark Funds purchased 16,371 shares of Pony AI (PONY) at $334,295 through the ARKQ ETF. The purchase represents a continuation of ARK’s investment in the autonomous driving company, having bought shares in the previous days.

ARK Genomic Revolution ETF (BATS:ARKG) added 725,281 shares of ATAI Life Sciences (ATAI) worth about $3.97 million.

Among other names bought across its various funds include Deere (DE), GeneDx Holdings (WGS) and L3Harris Technologies (LHX)

Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest has continued selling shares of Palantir Technologies (PLTR). The recent trimming of her stake follows a larger pattern of selling that began in 2024, though Ark funds still have an exposure of over $660 million in PLTR shares across their ETFs. Ark funds sold a total of 19,730 shares in the last week.

The investment firm offloaded roughly 14,000 shares of Shopify (SHOP) across its Fintech and Next Generation Internet ETFs, trimming about $2.23 million in exposure.

On October 18, 2025, Cathie Wood’s ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKF) sold 25,177 shares of SoFi Technologies (SOFI). The sale amounted to a total of $669,708.

ARK divested an aggregate of 92156 shares of Roblox (RBLX), a platform for user-generated games. This sale follows a trend observed from the previous week’s trading activity, where ARK has consistently reduced its position in Roblox.

ARK sold 119,987 shares of Rocket Lab (RKLB), a company specializing in space launch services and spacecraft manufacturing, during the last week.

Cathie Wood and Ark Invest unloaded more than 300,000 shares of Archer Aviation (ACHR) on Wednesday. The firm sold 302,280 shares from the flagship Ark Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKK), worth about $3.94 million based on the 13.03 closing price.

Among other names disposed across its various funds include Quantum-SI (QSI), Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (KTOS) and AeroVironment (AVAV).
