To increase engagement by Gen Z and Millennial shoppers, eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) has acquired consumer-to-consumer (C2C) social marketplace Tise.
Tise enables visitors on the platform to follow sellers, and comment on listings.
“With Tise’s on-trend inventory, loyal community, and social-first approach, we’ll strengthen eBay’s C2C offerings, and more deeply connect with the next generation of enthusiasts,” said eBay’s general manager of global markets success and C2C, Oliver Klinck.
Norway’s Tise was the first investment made by eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) ventures in 2022. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
