EMA panel recommends Lilly’s Mounjaro to children 10 years and older

The European Medicine Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (“CHMP”) is recommending that use of Eli Lilly’s (LLY) type 2 diabetes medicine Mounjaro (tirzepatide) be extended to children as young as 10 years old.
The recommendation is for the drug along with diet and exercise.
In the EU, Mounjaro is currently approved for individuals 18 years and older.
