- The European Medicine Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (“CHMP”) is recommending that use of Eli Lilly’s (LLY) type 2 diabetes medicine Mounjaro (tirzepatide) be extended to children as young as 10 years old.
- The recommendation is for the drug along with diet and exercise.
- In the EU, Mounjaro is currently approved for individuals 18 years and older.
