Ford 2025 vehicle sales rise 6% led by hybrids and F-Series

Ford (F) 2025 vehicle sales were up 6% to 2.2 million, marking last year as the best year for the automaker since 2019 and placing the company in third place behind Toyota Motor (TM) and General Motors (GM).

The company gained 0.6 percentage points in market share for the year and 0.9 percentage points for the fourth quarter, reaching 13.2% annual share.

The F-Series pickup truck notched its 44th straight year as the top selling truck in the U.S. with 8.3% more sold year-over-year for a total of 828,832.

Hybrid sales (including PHEVs) were up 21.7% to 228,072, while the sales for the company’s “most affordable truck,” the Ford Maverick, reached record Q4 sales of 35,147 — up 54.2% — and increased by 18.2% for the year to 155K.

“We’re growing shares and beating the trend because we offer a great range of products, from accessible entry-level models to high-performance off-roaders,” said Andrew Frick, president of Ford Blue and Model e.

Besides the F-Series truck, Ford’s Explorer SUV remained America’s best-selling three-row SUV, while the Ford Pro Transit Van set an annual record, retaining its place as the best-selling van in the U.S.

Additionally, subscriptions for Ford Pro Intelligence increased 30% year-over-year in the fourth quarter with ~840K active subscribers.
