Ford (NYSE:F) sold 189,313 vehicles in July, an increase of 9.3% from a year ago and up 7% so far this year.
The increase was led by an 11.8% jump in hybrid sales, which helped offset a 0.2% drop in the company’s sale of fully electric vehicles. This resulted in a 7.9% gain in sales for “electrified vehicles.”
Sales of vehicles with an internal combustion engine (ICE) increased 9.5%.
By type, cars were the most popular vehicle with 31.8% more sold this July than last year, followed by a 13% increase in SUV sales, and 6.2% increase in truck sales.
