Ford October vehicle sales climb 15.2% led by hybrids
- Ford (NYSE:F) vehicle sales increased by more than 15% in October to 172,756, led by gains in hybrid (+38.5%) and ICE (+14.1%) vehicles that more than offset an 8.3% decline in the sale of electric vehicles.
- Pickup trucks overwhelmingly remain the most popular with sales up 29.2% in October to over 100K, led by gains in the Ford Ranger and F-Series, with hybrid sales a distant second at 2.3%. Car sales were down 37% to 2,688 in October.
- By brand, sales of the Ford Bronco were up 104.7% in October, followed by a 21.3% increase in Mustang Mach-E sales. Ford Edge sales were down 80.5%.
- Ford (F) shares are trading 2.5% higher on Monday.
