Ford vehicle sales fall 5.3% in January

Ford’s (F) vehicle sales in January were down 5.3% from January 2024 to 135,362, led by a 69.2% decline in EV sales (1,743).
Hybrid sales were down 6.1% to 12,485, while the sale of gas-powered vehicles also fell last month, down 2.3% year-over-year to 12,485.
By vehicle type, Ford (F) sold 50.4% more cars in the month while SUV sales were down 2% and truck sales dropped 9.2%.
Ford (F) shares opened higher, snapping a three-day losing streak.
