The data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, or CAICT, showed that shipments of foreign-branded phones increased to 7.027 million units in October, from 6.216 million handsets the same month a year ago, the report added.
Overall phone sales in China rose 8.7% to 32.267 million units in October, the report noted.
