Former Texas congressman Burgess eyed as CDC director nominee – report

The White House is reportedly considering former U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) as its nominee to head the CDC.

Burgess, an ob/gyn by training, served in the House of Representatives from January 2023-January 2025.

He is likely to be nominated, though
