General Motors to recall over 18,000 vehicles on brake line issue
General Motors (NYSE:GM) is recalling 18,235 commercial vehicles in the U.S. due to an issue with brake lines that can result in brake failure.
The recall covers certain 2013-2019 Chevrolet Express Cutaway and GMC Savana Cutaway vehicles equipped with optional GM-provided body mounts.
“The brake line may have insufficient clearance to the body mounts, which can result in brake line damage that can lead to a brake fluid leak, increasing the risk of a crash,” the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Thursday.
Dealers will inspect and replace the brake line as necessary, the auto safety regulator said.
