GM plans job cuts to salaried staff; issues recall on turbo-engine trucks and SUVs

General Motors (NYSE:GM) is reportedly eliminating 1,000 salaried jobs to create additional cost efficiencies and productivity gains, Bloomberg reported on Friday.

“In order to win in this competitive market, we need to optimize for speed and excellence,” GM spokesman Kevin Kelly said
