- Led by record sales for its Buick crossovers, General Motors (NYSE:GM) sold 746,588 vehicles in the second quarter, an increase of 7.3% from the same quarter last year, and up 11.6% for the first half of 2025 to 1.4M.
- By banner, Chevy H1 sales were up 9.4%, its best half-year sales since 2019, while GMC Q2 sales were up by 6.3%, its sixth consecutive quarter of retail sales growth.
- Within its EV category, the Chevy Equinox and Silverado EVs were the most popular, offsetting sagging sales for the Bolt and Blazer EVs.
- GM (NYSE:GM) shares were up 5% on Tuesday to a 3-month-high.
