Goldman Sachs cuts outlook for airline industry, drops American to sell

With its macro team now forecasting a 45% probability of a U.S. recession, and taking into account increasing economic and geopolitical uncertainty, Goldman Sachs makes a “material” cut to the level of demand for air travel in 2025 and lowered its outlook for the U.S. airline industry.
