Goldman Sachs promotes Josh Schiffrin to chief strategy officer – report
Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) Global Head of Trading Josh Schiffrin has been promoted to chief strategy officer and head of financial risk for global banking and markets, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing a memo dated Sept. 17.
The new role is said to expand Schiffrin’s current responsibilities to include oversight of the financial risk team, the FICC desk, and the prime risk strats team, where he will offer risk analysis for Goldman’s (GS) prime brokerage clients, as well as managing the strategy, investments and partnerships team.
He joined Goldman (GS) in 2001 as an analyst. Eight years later, Schiffrin was named managing director and became a partner in 2012, the article said. He was appointed as global head of trading strategy in November 2023.
