GoodRx becomes pricing source for Pfizer and other drugmakers on TrumpRx

GoodRx (GDRX) announced that it has become a major integration partner for Pfizer (PFE) and other pharmaceutical companies, which offer discounts on TrumpRx, a newly launched government website listing cheaper drug prices for cash-paying customers.

Shares of the healthcare savings platform rose on Thursday after Stat News first reported about the company’s plans to offer its technology for TrumpRx.

The White House launched the direct-to-consumer site on Thursday evening, listing 43 drugs from five companies, including Pfizer (PFE), that have struck deals with the U.S. government in line with President Donald Trump’s Most Favored Nation drug pricing policy.

GoodRx (GDRX) stated that it has become the integrated pricing source for Pfizer (PFE) at the launch after the New York-based pharma giant agreed to offer discounts on 30 of its brand-name medications off their list prices on TrumpRx.

The company added that Pfizer’s (PFE) discounts calculated from its pricing sources averaged 50% and reached as high as 80%, with treatments covering women’s health to arthritis selected for the program.
