Head of Google Workspace to step down – report
According to a Business Insider report from Tuesday, Google Workspace (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) head Aparna Pappu is stepping down, and Jerry Dischler, president of cloud applications, is taking over.
In a memo to staff that was seen by Business Insider, Pappu apparently said, “I’m ready for the next opportunity at Google and stepping down from my current role as GM of Workspace,” last week.
Pappu is expected to remain in an advisory position for Workspace before transitioning to a new role within Google, the report said.
The report, citing a person with knowledge of the matter, also mentioned that Google named Precisely’s former chief revenue officer Pat McCarthy as its new head of Workspace sales.
