Johnson & Johnson unveils $2B U.S. manufacturing expansion in North Carolina

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) to invest $2 billion over the next decade to boost its U.S. manufacturing capacity through a new 160,000-square-foot facility at FUJIFILM’s biopharmaceutical site in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

The move is expected to create around 120 new jobs in the state.

In the coming months, the company also intends to share the plans for additional advanced manufacturing facilities in the U.S., as well as the expansion of current U.S. sites, it said in a statement.

“Johnson & Johnson has more manufacturing facilities in the U.S. than in any other country, and we continue to strengthen our presence here,” said Joaquin Duato, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Johnson & Johnson.

“With the recent signing of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, we continue to expand our investment in the U.S. to lead the next era of healthcare innovation.”
