Las Vegas Strip casinos post solid gaming win as baccarat, craps and mobile betting outperform
Nevada casino reported a 3.3% year-over-year increase in gaming win in June to $1.29 billion. The Las Vegas Strip saw a 4.3% increase in gaming win to $758.6 million, and downtown Las Vegas casino saw gaming win rise 5.9% to $66.2 million. Reno casino saw a 7.1% decline during the month, and North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 3% decline.
Gaming win for table, counter, and card game rose 13.2% to $463.6 million off a strong win percentage of 16.0%. Notably, baccarat gaming win was up 38% from the level a year ago. Craps was also strong for Nevada casinos during the month, with gaming win up 20% off a win percentage of 16.8%.
Slot machine gaming win fell 1.6% to $823.1 million, off a soft win percentage of just 6.9%.
Sportsbooks saw gaming win increase 212% during the month to $28.5 million off a win percentage of 6%. Mobile betting accounted for almost all the gaming win jump for sportsbooks.
