Marqeta introduces BNPL that can be embedded in payment apps

Marqeta (NASDAQ:MQ) rolled out Marqeta Flex, a Buy Now, Pay Later product that can be embedded into payment apps, the company said on Monday.
Marqeta Flex is being developed with payment providers Klarna (KLAR) and Affirm Holdings (NASDAQ:AFRM) and payments platform Branch. Branch plans to integrate the new product into its payment app for W-2 and 1099 workers, allowing users to access BNPL loan options tailored to their individual needs.
“The solution expands the distribution of BNPL while personalizing the experience for shoppers, providing them with access to their favorite BNPL options when they need them,” Marqeta said in a statement.
Marqeta (NASDAQ:MQ) stock rose 1.3% in Monday premarket trading.
