- Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Bing was in focus on Tuesday as French search engine company Qwant accused the U.S. tech giant of driving down the quality of its search engine results, Reuters reported.
- Qwant, which has relied on Microsoft’s Bing platform, told French antitrust regulators that they should take action against Microsoft as they investigate the complaint, the news outlet added, citing people with direct knowledge of the matter.
- The antitrust regulator could decide by September whether to take action against Microsoft, one of the people added.
- Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
