Nvidia-backed CoreWeave among firms investing $8.2B in UK data centers

CoreWeave, the cloud computing company backed by Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), is among several companies that will invest more than $8B in data centers in the U.K., the country’s government said on Monday.
Along with CoreWeave, ServiceNow (NYSE:NOW), CyrusOne and CloudHQ will invest $8.23B in data centers, according to Britain’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. ServiceNow’s investment of $1.5B was disclosed earlier on Monday.
CyrusOne intends to spend £2.5B on projects in the country, which should be running by the fourth-quarter of 2028. CloudHQ will spend £1.9B on a new data center in Didcot, Oxfordshire. CoreWeave will invest £750M in AI infrastructure.
CoreWeave said last week that it had added a $650M credit line from several global banks to boost its balance sheet.
