Nvidia (NVDA) has hired Alison Wagonfeld, Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) Cloud’s marketing head, to be the chipmaker’s first chief marketing officer.
In a LinkedIn post, Wagonfeld announced that she will take on a new role “heading up marketing and communications as Nvidia (NVDA) embarks on its next phase of growth.”
“Google and Nvidia (NVDA) share a strong partnership, and we look forward to continued collaboration,” she added.
Wagonfeld will leave Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) in late January after nearly a decade at its cloud computing unit.
She will start her new role at Nvidia (NVDA) in February, reporting to CEO Jensen Huang, a person with knowledge of the move told The Wall Street Journal. Nvidia’s marketing and communications staff will report to her.
