Nvidia in discussions to acquire OctoAI for $165M: report

- Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) is in discussions to acquire software startup OctoAI, The Information reported.
- The Jensen Huang-led chipmaker has offered roughly $165M for the Seattle-based startup, which sells software for customers to use and make their artificial intelligence models run in a more efficient manner, the news outlet added, citing a document OctoAI sent to its shareholders. OctoAI shareholders include Tiger Global Management, Madrona Venture Group and Amplify Partners.
- Nvidia did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
- Nvidia shares fell 1.4% in late afternoon trading on Tuesday.
