Nvidia’s acquisition of Run:ai expected to see EU antitrust decision by Dec. 20 – report
The European Commission will decide on Nvidia’s (NASDAQ:NVDA) proposed acquisition of Israeli AI company Run:ai by Dec. 20, Reuters reported.
Last month, the EU antitrust agency noted that the deal posed risks to competition in the markets where the companies operate and ordered the U.S. tech giant to get approval before closing the acquisition.
The EU antitrust watchdog can either clear the transaction with or without remedies during its preliminary review, or it could start a probe if it has serious concerns, the report added.
Nvidia announced the deal to acquire Run:ai in April. Financial terms were not disclosed, but reports suggested that Nvidia paid around $700M to buy Run:ai.
