- OpenAI, the generative artificial intelligence startup backed by Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), said it hit 1M paid users of its ChatGPT for business, according to Bloomberg.
- The 1M figure includes people who have signed up to use its ChatGPT Team, Enterprise and Edu services. ChatGPT Enterprise was introduced last August as the Sam Altman-led company looks to boost revenue from larger companies. ChatGPT Team, designed for smaller businesses, was introduced in January.
- Separately on Thursday, The Information reported that OpenAI has discussed higher-priced subscriptions — perhaps as much as $2,000 per month — for its upcoming large language models, including Strawberry and a new model, known as Orion.
