OpenAI plans to release AI agent early next year: report
- Microsoft-backed (NASDAQ:MSFT) OpenAI plans to release an artificial intelligent agent tool sometime early next year, according to a report today by Bloomberg.
- The agent, codenamed “Operator,” can apparently automate tasks for users ranging from shopping to writing code, according to the report.
- Several companies are developing agents capable of performing a wide variety of digital tasks, including Anthropic and Google (GOOG)(GOOGL).
- The founder of Softbank (OTCPK:SFTBY), which has also invested $500M in OpenAI, envisions a world where AI agents help manage households and even increase personal happiness.
- “We can design AI personal agents who understand your emotions and whose greatest reward is your happiness,” said Masayoshi Son.
- And on the enterprise level, Salesforce (CRM) and Microsoft have already deployed AI agents to handle various business tasks.
