OpenAI releases real-time video for ChatGPT
- Microsoft-backed (NASDAQ:MSFT) OpenAI rolled out real-time video capabilities for ChatGPT today, the startup announced during its ongoing 12 Days of OpenAI event.
- ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode has added vision, which allows users to point their phones at items or people or use screen sharing. ChatGPT can then analyze, identify or recall the objects or people in question.
- It is available today for subscribers of ChatGPT Plus, Team or Pro plans.
- Advanced Voice Mode allows users to use conversational language through video and voice to communicate with ChatGPT.
- In a live-stream example, OpenAI staff used Advanced Voice Mode with vision to explain how to make a cup of coffee with the objects in the video.
- In a festive bonus, OpenAI also added Santa’s voice and personality to ChatGPT as well.
