OpenAI works to release next-level AI product this fall: report
- Microsoft-backed (NASDAQ:MSFT) OpenAI developers have been busy working on a next-level artificial intelligence product, dubbed Strawberry, which is capable of solving advanced problems and tasks, according to a report Tuesday by The Information.
- With hopes to release it by this fall, Strawberry is capable of solving math problems it has never encountered, something current AI models, such as ChatGPT, are incapable of, according to the report.
- It is also capable of performing high-level tasks, such as developing marketing strategies or solving complex word puzzles, the report said. Strawberry might be included within an existing chatbot, such as ChatGPT-4o.
- Strawberry, was formerly called Q, according to a source with direct knowledge of the project. OpenAI is striving to have it capable of performing “deep research,” according to an article last month by Reuters.
- OpenAI remains busy looking for new investors to help them continue developing the latest AI models.
