Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (NYSE:ORCL) plans to deploy 50,000 Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) graphics processors starting in the second half of 2026, CNBC reported.
“We feel like customers are going to take up AMD very, very well — especially in the inferencing space,” said Karan Batta, senior vice president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, in an interview with CNBC’s Seema Mody.
The decision reflects a broader trend of cloud providers increasingly adopting AMD GPUs as an alternative to Nvidia’s (NVDA) dominant chips for artificial intelligence workloads.
ORCL shares fell -1.5% premarket. AMD advanced +3.2%
