PayPal Holdings (NASDAQ:PYPL) on Wednesday said PayPal and Venmo customers in the U.S. and select global markets will get early access to Perplexity’s new AI-powered Comet browser, bypassing the waitlist.
Perplexity, a startup backed by Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), offers AI search tools that quickly give users clear answers, aiming to compete with OpenAI and Google in the growing AI search space.
The offer includes a 12-month free trial of Perplexity Pro, valued at $200, and is available through PayPal’s new in-app subscriptions hub, where users can view, manage, and update recurring payments.
PayPal also said eligible U.S. customers who link and pay for three subscriptions in the hub will receive $50 cashback for a limited time.
Comet features an integrated AI assistant, answer-focused search, and product comparison tools.
