Peloton fitness classes now available to Google Fitbit premium members
Peloton (NASDAQ:PTON) shares were given a shot-in-the-arm Tuesday afternoon after announcing a partnership with Google Fitbit (NASDAQ:GOOG) to offer premium members access to Peloton classes.
Fitbit Premium members will now be able to take classes on the Peloton platform, including Strength, Pilates, Running, Boxing, Cycling, Barre, and more, with select classes available to Fitbit users without a Premium membership. Peloton (PTON) members will receive special offers to obtain a Google (GOOG) Pixel Watch and Fitbit Charge 6 device through the partnership.
“We’re thrilled to bring Peloton’s classes and world-class Instructors to Fitbit users, and continue to establish Peloton as a one-stop shop for all types of fitness content,” said Greg Hybl, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Peloton for Business.
Fitbit — acquired from Google (GOOG) in 2019 for $2.1B — had 38.5M active users as of 2023, an increase of 3.75% from 2022.
Shares of Peloton (PTON) gained ~4% from Monday’s close.
