Pfizer/BioNTech updated COVID vaccine authorized in Canada

  • Health Canada has authorized Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech (NASDAQ:BNTX) updated COVID-19 shot for the 2025-26 season.
  • The vaccine, which targets the Omicron LP.8.1 variant, will be available in pharmacies beginning in the fall.
  • Comirnaty, the brand name of the jab, is for individuals six months and older.
