Royal Philips (NYSE:PHG) has inked an agreement with UnitedHealth Group (NYSE:UNH) unit Optum Health to provide access to the former’s ambulatory and diagnostic solutions and services.
The deal means Optum’s 3.4 million members will have coverage of the Philips Mobile CardiacTelemetry and Philips Extended Holter, which provide earlier detection of cardiac conditions.
Philips said the arrangement benefits patients and payers through reduced delays in specialist referrals, enhanced diagnostic insights, and increased patient compliance.
