Microsoft’s gaming division, Xbox (NASDAQ:MSFT), said Friday that preorders for the upcoming flagship handheld gaming PC, made in collaboration with Taiwanese computer giant ASUS (OTCPK:ASUUY), are sold out on its website worldwide just one day after the announcement.
Xbox said in a post on social media platform X that preorders for ROG Xbox Ally X are sold out globally on the Xbox Store. Orders can still be placed via the ASUS store online or through a local retailer.
The flagship ROG Xbox Ally X, which is retailing for $1,000, boasts the new AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor, while the standard ROG Xbox Ally, priced at $600, is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor.
Xbox and ASUS opened preorders late on Thursday for two variants of the gaming device, which are direct competitors to Nintendo’s (OTCPK:NTDOY) Switch 2 and Sony’s (SONY) PlayStation Portal.
