Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) on Thursday announced plans to eliminate 7,000 jobs over the next two years as part of a broad cost-reduction strategy, responding to sluggish consumer sentiment and ongoing tariff uncertainty that are pressuring growth.
The cuts represent about 15% of the company’s non-manufacturing workforce.
The maker of brands such as Gillette and Tide shared the update during a presentation at a Paris-based conference on Thursday, where it also outlined intentions to divest certain brands and categories and implement an organizational restructuring.
The company did not specify where the job cuts would be made.
