Quantum Computing acquires NuCrypt for $5M to expand quantum communications

  • Quantum Computing (QUBT) completed the $5M acquisition of NuCrypt, paid through a mix of cash and QUBT common stock.
  • NuCrypt will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of QUBT following the acquisition.
  • QUBT plans to integrate its thin-film lithium niobate photonic technology with NuCrypt’s systems to improve performance, reduce device size, and enable scalable manufacturing.
  • NuCrypt brings over 20 years of quantum communications development and a strong intellectual property portfolio in quantum optics, RF-photonics, and photonic signal processing.
  • NuCrypt’s technology has been used by NASA, the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, universities, and international customers across Australia, Canada, and Europe.
