Rivian to recall over 24,000 U.S. vehicles over hands-free highway assist software glitch

Rivian (NASDAQ:RIVN) is recalling over 24,000 R1S and R1T vehicles from the 2025 model year, Reuters reported.

The recall is due to a software defect that may cause the Hands-Free Highway Assist system to misidentify lead vehicles.

Rivian has issued an over-the-air software update to fix the problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
