- Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB) has scheduled a June launch for Japan-based Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space’s (“iQPS”) imaging satellite, making this the third Electron launch in less than a month.
- The mission, named “The Mountain of God Guards,” will launch from Rocket Lab’s New Zealand launch complex, sending a single synthetic aperture radar into orbit to join the rest of the iQPS constellation in providing high resolution images of Earth.
- “The Mountain God Guards” launch will be Rocket Lab’s eighth mission this year, its 66th Electron launch overall, and will bring the total number of satellites delivered to space by Electron to 227.
- Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB) shares closed higher on Tuesday, snapping a three day losing streak and adding to RKLB’s 514% year-over-year gain.
