Russell 1000 stocks with the largest increase in hedge fund ownership in 2Q – GS

Goldman Sachs analysts listed the 20 Russell 1000 (NYSEARCA:IWF) stocks that have the largest increase in number of hedge fund owners during the second quarter this year.

Analysts selected these 20 stocks based on the most recent position filings, including Apple (AAPL), Broadcom (AVGO), and Disney (DIS).

Strategist Ben Snider said that changes in hedge fund popularity can be signals for future stock performance.

“Historically, stocks with the largest increase in the number of hedge fund investors have typically gone on to outperform sector peers during the quarters following their rise in popularity,” he said.
