Soros Capital exits TeraWulf, takes new stake in Affirm, among Q3 top trades
Soros Capital Management, the fund started by George Soros, took new positions in American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO), Alibaba (NYSE:BABA), and Affirm Holdings (NASDAQ:AFRM), among others, during Q3 2024, while closing out its positions in TeraWulf (NASDAQ:WULF), Iris Energy (NASDAQ:IREN), and Dollar Tree (NASDAQ:DLTR), according to the fund’s latest 13F filing.
The firm increased positions in ride-share app Uber Technology (NYSE:UBER) to 140,373 shares from 9,078; Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE) to 120,583 shares from 19,553 at the end of Q2; and Flutter Entertainment (NYSE:FLUT) to 94,496 shares from 5,020.
It reduced holdings in Core Scientific (NASDAQ:CORZ) to 862,149 shares from 1.51M; Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE:TSM) to 105,173 shares from 136,473; and Alcon (NYSE:ALC) to 27,154 shares from 39,698, according to the filing.
