StoneCo (STNE) is down ~3% in after-hours trading Monday despite reporting Q3 financial results that beat on the bottom line.
Revenue of ~R$3.57B (~$667.2M) was a ~17% year-over-year increase, while GAAP EPS of R$2.57 ($0.48) compares to R$1.97 ($0.37) in Q3 2024. Consensus revenue was $668.84M, while GAAP EPS consensus was $0.41.
The Brazilian fintech also adjusted its 2025 EPS guidance. It now sees adjusted basic EPS of more than R$9.6 ($1.74), up from more than R$8.6 ($1.61) prior. Consensus is $1.73.
The guidance change is due to H1 results and includes both continuing and discontinued operations.
Total payment volume (TPV) rose ~8% compared to the year-ago period to R$1.36B.
Micro and small- and medium business (MSMB) active client base rose ~17% YoY to to ~4.58M.
MSMB TPV of ~R$122.3 was a 12% year-over-year boost.
