Supermicro unveils new AI factory cluster using Nvidia architecture

Supermicro (SMCI) has revealed its new artificial intelligence factory cluster, which it said is a full-stack solution comprised of Supermicro’s portfolio of AI-optimized systems, Nvidia (NVDA) software stack and Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet.

It is expected to streamline the process of AI development from concept to production at any scale.

“Supermicro has always led the industry in time-to-market for new GPU technologies at rack-scale, and we’re leveraging our expertise in delivering large-scale NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and NVIDIA HGX B300-based AI infrastructure to enable the democratization of AI for enterprises in every industry,” said Supermicro CEO Charles Liang.

Supermicro AI factory cluster solutions are available in small, medium, and large configurations, ranging from 4 nodes and 32 GPUs up to 32 nodes and 256 GPUs. Supermicro said it is currently taking orders for these clusters.

Nvidia announced a similar partnership on Monday with Dell Technologies (DELL). Earlier today, Arm Holdings (ARM) also revealed an extended partnership with Nvidia to integrate the NVLink Fusion ecosystem into its Neoverse platform.
